Partnerships & Sponsorship

Reach people who actually care about marketing.

Marketing Made Clear helps marketers learn, think, calculate, build careers and make better decisions.

If your organisation genuinely has something useful to offer that audience, there are plenty of interesting ways we can work together.

More than an advert

Context matters more than simply buying impressions.

Marketing Made Clear isn't built around attracting everybody. It is built around attracting people interested in marketing.

They arrive because they want to understand a subject, solve a problem, calculate something, develop their career or explore an idea in more depth.

That creates opportunities for relevant organisations to be associated with the exact moments in which those products, services and ideas are useful.

The basic principle Useful brand. Useful context. Useful partnership.

A sponsorship should make sense to the person seeing or hearing it. If it feels bolted on simply because somebody bought the space, we probably haven't designed it properly.

The Audience

Marketers at different stages of the journey.

Marketing Made Clear reaches people from the point where they are first considering marketing through to experienced professionals leading teams, budgets and businesses.

Learning Marketing students

People connecting academic theory with the real world.

Entering Aspiring marketers

Graduates, career-changers and people looking for their first role.

Developing Working marketers

Professionals building knowledge, skills and commercial confidence.

Leading Managers & directors

People responsible for teams, agencies, budgets and strategy.

Doing Business owners

People who may not have "marketing" in their title but still need to make marketing decisions.

Does that sound like the audience you want to reach?

Tell me who matters most to you and we can look at where your brand would fit naturally across Marketing Made Clear.

Why Marketing Made Clear?

A specialist audience with a reason for being here.

01

High-intent context

People are actively consuming marketing education, career advice, tools and analysis rather than encountering the subject accidentally.

02

Multiple formats

A partnership can live across long-form content, calculators, podcasts, videos and career resources rather than relying on one advertising format.

03

Built by a marketer

You're not buying inventory from somebody who has never had to write a brief, defend a budget or explain a campaign result.

The content

Be associated with something people actually chose to consume.

Marketing Made Clear covers everything from consumer psychology and marketing history to brands, strategy and commercial decision-making.

These are real examples of the environments a relevant partnership can sit alongside.

Ways to Work Together

Different objectives need different partnerships.

There isn't a compulsory package called Gold, Platinum or Intergalactic Diamond. We can build something around what you actually want to achieve.

If the obvious answer doesn't quite fit, that doesn't mean the conversation has to stop.

  • Cross-platform campaigns
  • Original research partnerships
  • Educational content projects
  • Tool or resource development
  • Ideas we haven't thought of yet

Already have an idea?

You don't need to decide which of these boxes it belongs in before getting in touch. Tell me what you're trying to achieve and we can work backwards from there.

One platform. Several ways in.

Partnerships don't need to exist in isolation.

Marketing Made Clear now spans educational content, practical tools, audio, video and career development.

That means a partnership can be focused tightly on one format or designed to connect several relevant touchpoints.

Sponsoring utility

Be useful at the moment somebody needs you.

The Marketing Tools section creates a particularly strong opportunity for relevant platforms, software providers and marketing services.

Someone using a CAC, CLV, ROI, ROAS, MER or break-even calculator isn't casually scrolling.

They're trying to answer a commercial question.

That makes contextual sponsorship much more interesting than simply dropping another banner somewhere on the internet.

Is there a fit?

The right partnership matters more than filling the space.

The strongest partners are organisations whose products, services or expertise genuinely make sense for the Marketing Made Clear audience.

Particularly good fits

  • Marketing technology and software
  • Analytics, CRM and ecommerce platforms
  • Marketing agencies and specialist services
  • Recruitment platforms and employers
  • Universities and professional education
  • Training and career-development providers
  • Marketing events and conferences
  • Research and data providers
  • Useful business software and services

What matters before we say yes

  • The offer should be relevant to the audience.
  • The claims need to be supportable.
  • The partnership must be clearly identifiable as sponsored.
  • It shouldn't undermine the usefulness of the content.
  • Editorial independence stays with Marketing Made Clear.
Trust matters

Sponsorship buys a partnership. It doesn't buy an opinion.

Marketing Made Clear is built around explaining things clearly and being useful to the audience. That matters more than any individual commercial arrangement.

Sponsored activity will be clearly identified. Partners can work with me on objectives, messages and the most appropriate format, but sponsorship does not guarantee a positive editorial opinion or allow factual content to be rewritten to suit a commercial claim.

That independence is good for the audience and ultimately makes the partnership more credible for the sponsor too.

How it works

Start with the objective, not the package.

I'd rather understand what you're trying to achieve before deciding where your logo should go.

1 Tell me the objective

Who are you trying to reach and what would success actually look like?

2 Find the audience fit

We identify the parts of Marketing Made Clear where the partnership makes genuine sense.

3 Build the activation

That might be one placement, a content series or something spanning several formats.

4 Make it useful

The best outcome is a partnership that works commercially without making the audience wish it wasn't there.

You don't need a finished brief.

An objective, an audience and a rough idea of what you're trying to achieve is enough to start the conversation.

A few obvious questions

Before you email...

Do you have fixed sponsorship packages?

Not necessarily. Single-format sponsorship can be kept simple, but broader partnerships are usually better designed around the objective, audience and length of activity.

Can we sponsor one article, episode or video?

Yes. A partnership does not need to become a six-month multi-channel campaign if a focused placement makes more sense.

Do you publish sponsored content?

Potentially, where the subject is useful and relevant to the Marketing Made Clear audience. Sponsored activity will be clearly labelled and factual and editorial standards still apply.

Can we sponsor the Careers Hub or Marketing Tools?

Yes. Both create particularly strong contextual opportunities for organisations whose services naturally fit those audiences.

Can you provide audience and performance figures?

Yes. Relevant current performance information can be discussed when we're looking at a specific partnership so that decisions are based on appropriate and up-to-date figures.

What does sponsorship cost?

It depends on the format, duration, scope and work involved. Send over what you're trying to achieve and we can work out whether there is a sensible commercial fit.

Let's talk

Have something useful to put in front of marketers?

Tell me what you're trying to achieve, who you're trying to reach and what sort of partnership you have in mind.

If there's a natural fit with Marketing Made Clear, we can work out what the right activation looks like from there.
